Newly updated passport fees for urgent processing of 36-page passport for five years increased

The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGI&P) has recently updated passport fees in Pakistan, making it easier for citizens to obtain or renew their passports.

A citizen with a valid Pakistan passport who travels to any foreign country is entitled to the protection of diplomatic and consular representatives of Pakistan in that country.

What is Passport?

A passport is the only formal document issued by an authorised official of a country to one of its citizens that is usually necessary for exit from and reentry into the country, that lets the citizen travel in a foreign country by visa requirements.

Any Pakistani who is making the passport initial time is required to visit the select passport office or foreign mission to apply for the travel document.

What is normal passport fee in Pakistan?

The newly updated passport fee in Pakistan for a normal 36-page passport for five years now stands at Rs4,500 and for a 10-year validity period, the fee for a 36-page passport has been increased to Rs6,700.

Meanwhile, for a 72-page passport for five years, Pakistani people will have to pay Rs8,200 for normal processing, and if people want a 100-page passport valid for 10 years, the newly updated passport fee will increase to Rs12,400 for normal processing.

What is urgent passport fee in Pakistan?

The newly updated passport fees in Pakistan for urgent processing of a 36-page passport for five years increased from Rs5,000 to Rs7,500 and for a 10-year validity period, the urgent fee increased to Rs11,200.

Meanwhile, the urgent processing passport fee of a 72-page passport for five years is increased to Rs13,500, along with an Rs20,200 increase for urgent processing of a 100-page passport valid for 10 years.
