Following the announcement that Gemini will be rolled out for the Pixel 9 series and all earlier ones in future, Google's president Android Ecosystem Sameer Samat reflected on privacy concerns associated with users' privacy with the latest Gemini AI features.

“Android is always focused on privacy and security. He outlined the reasons that make it indispensable to ensure that every individual's private data remains out of intruders' reach.

Having the latest Gemini AI features handle users' personal queries without letting unknown and shady third parties sneak into the data is paramount, Samat added.

The generative technology must be open-source and be made easily accessible to users, he said while responding to the common query whether AI should be open-source or not. AI's amenities should also involve how it can assist in one's routine chores.
