Valve announces limited edition white Steam Deck OLED for holidays

Valve limited edition white version will be delivered all across globe wherever Steam Decks are already available to purchase

Valve is all set to launch a limited edition white Steam Deck OLED this time for the holidays, as one of the best handheld gaming consoles, following the release of transparent handheld console last year.

It features reminiscent specs of the 1TB variant, including striking features such as an enlarged 7.4-inch OLED display and plenty of different accessories.

The white variant comes with white accessories that will never fail to captivate users such as a white carrying case and a white microfiber cleaning cloth.

According to Valve, the console will be constrained to one per account: "These accounts must have made a Steam purchase before November 2024 and be in good standing to be eligible."

Furthermore, the limited edition white version will be delivered all across the globe wherever Steam Decks are already available to buy.

It seems like Valve is strategically utilising the white Steam Deck to observe users’ reactions to colour differences, calling it the company's "second experiment along those lines."

Valve stated: "We're curious to see what the response is, and will use what we learn to inform future decisions about any potential new colour variants down the line."

Valve added that the launch of the handheld console was "super happy" since the LCD variant was launched in 2022.
