VEON, Jazz leadership meet PM Shehbaz to discuss financial services, software, more

VEON Group, a leading cloud and cybersecurity platform of Pakistan and Jazz has recently held a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss key investments in different sectors including banking, financial services, data centres, software, and cloud infrastructure to contribute to the economy of Pakistan. 

The meeting was attended by the VEON Group Founder & Chairman Augie K. Fabela, Group CEO Kaan Terzioğlu, Group Director of Corporate Affairs Marine Babayan, Jazz CEO Aamir Ibrahim, and Jazz’s Chief Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Officer Syed Fakhar Ahmed.

Pakistan is emanating as a strategic growth market, with Jazz pioneering digital financial transactions and several other innovative campaigns. VEON and Jazz both reiterated their commitment to the enhancement of Pakistan’s economy and emphasised Jazz's transformation from a telecom operator to a tech-driven ServiceCo. 

The Prime Minister was acquainted with Jazz’s great contribution to deploying banking and digital financial services, offering enhanced and accessible financial solutions to an ample of underserved individuals residing in rural areas. 

The delegation further highlighted Jazz’s strategic investment in modern centres, software and cloud services to reinforce the country's digital infrastructure. Sharif praised Jazz’s role in the development of Pakistan’s digital realm and driving economic empowerment through technology.
