Citing the service provider, Digital Trend reported that Verizon's broadband services have been reinstated “to normal levels.” While the disruption has thoroughly been looked after, the company advised those still grappling with sluggish service to restart their devices.

“We know how much people rely on Verizon and apologize for any inconvenience,” Verizon added.

As per the publication, the digital blackout commenced at around 9:30am ET on Monday and took over everything ranging from cellular connectivity and data to phone calls and text messages.

While insights into what potentially triggered the outage have yet to be provided, the admission of the affected services came from a social media post at around midday by Verizon, stating it was fully “aware of an issue impacting service for some customers. Our engineers are engaged and we are working quickly to identify and solve the issue.”
