Apple, a tech giant, has revised its 'Accessory Design Guidelines for Apple Devices' paper with comprehensive schematics of the Vision Pro.
The new paper also provides additional requirements for third-party accessory producers. Apple's Vision Pro is a glass and aluminium masterpiece.
However, accessories for the headset were produced based on guesswork and poor specifications. The freshly disclosed schematics should allow manufacturers to create far better headset attachments.
In addition, Apple's new paper contains six pages of general schematics, one page of battery schematics, and one page of audio strap schematics. Moreover, there are four pages of schematics for the ZEISS optical inserts, sometimes known as lenses.

The guidelines and limits for various sections of the headset make it evident how to construct accessories effectively. Storage cases and bands, for example, are subject to rules. Here are some crucial guidelines Gadinsider has mentioned for you:
Apple Vision Pro storage cases
- Cases should not make touch with glass surfaces.
- Storage cases should not impart force to the top button, digital crown, or fit dial.
- Cases should have a power cable bend radius of at least 13 mm.
Apple Vision Probands
- Bands should withstand a maximum insertion force of 18.3 N.
- The Vision Pro audio strap connection should withstand a maximum draw force of 300 N from the band.
- Bands should not have a material hardness of more than 320 HV for areas in contact with the audio strap connection.
- Straps and bands shall not separate with a peel force of less than 100 N at 12 mm from the connection.
- Bands should not make metal contact with the audio strap's elastomer section.
The revised document is littered with detailed statistics and figures, making it considerably easier for third-party producers to build accessories. The Vision Pro is one of the greatest AR headsets we've ever tried, but it comes at a high price.
