Vivo is reportedly working on a new flagship smartphone, the Vivo X100s, which is expected to launch in the first half of 2024. The phone is said to feature a 6.8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 3200x1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. 

The display will also support HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, making it one of the most impressive screens on a smartphone. Here are some of the key aspects of the Vivo X100s that you should know.

Vivo X100s: Design and build quality

The Vivo X100s will have a premium design and build quality, with a metal frame and a glass back. The phone will have a curved edge display with minimal bezels and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The back of the phone will house a quad-camera setup and a Vivo logo. 

The phone will also have an in-display fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers. The Vivo X100s will come in various colours, such as black, white, blue, and green.

Vivo X100s: Performance and battery life

The cell phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 processor, which is the latest and most powerful chipset from the company. The Snapdragon 898 will offer improved performance and efficiency, as well as support for 5G connectivity. 

The Vivo X100s will also have up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage, ensuring smooth multitasking and ample storage space. The phone will run on Android 12 with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 12 on top.

The smartphone will have a 5000mAh battery, which will support fast charging and wireless charging. The phone will also have reverse wireless charging, which will allow it to charge other devices wirelessly. The Vivo X100s will have a battery life of up to two days on a single charge, depending on the usage.

Vivo X100s: Camera and photography

The Vivo X100s will have a quad-camera setup on the back, consisting of a 108-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 13-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The main camera will have optical image stabilization (OIS) and phase detection autofocus (PDAF), as well as support for 8K video recording and night mode.

The ultra-wide-angle camera will have a 120-degree field of view and a macro mode. The telephoto camera will have a 5x optical zoom and a 50x digital zoom, as well as OIS and PDAF. The depth sensor will help in creating a bokeh effect for portrait shots.

The Vivo X100s will have a 32-megapixel selfie camera on the front, which will have a wide-angle lens and a beautification mode. The selfie camera will also support 4K video recording and face unlock.

The phone will have some additional features and extras that will enhance the user experience. The phone will have a dedicated AI button, which will launch the Google Assistant or Vivo’s own Jovi assistant.

Price and availability

The Vivo X100s is expected to launch in the first half of 2024, but the exact date and price are not yet confirmed. However, based on the specifications and features, smartphone is likely to be a premium smartphone, with a price tag of around $1000. 

The phone will compete with other flagship smartphones, such as the Samsung Galaxy S22, the OnePlus 10, and the iPhone 13. The Vivo X100s will be available in various markets, such as China, India, Europe, and the US.
