Vivo Y29 5G launched in India on Tuesday with several innovative features, including a massive 5,500mAh battery with 44W wired fast charging capability, making it a compelling choice among mid-range smartphones.

The recently launched handset boasts an IP64-rated build for dust and splash resistance and claims "Military Grade" durability with SGS 5-Star Drop Resistance and MIL-STD-810H certifications. When paired with the wave crest case, it acts as “drop-resistant armour,” ensuring better durability for everyday use.
The Vivo Y29 5G features an enlarged 6.68-inch HD LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smooth visuals and sharp details. With 1,000 nits brightness, it provides better outdoor visibility.
The phone runs on Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14, powered by a power-efficient MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM (expandable by another 8GB using virtual RAM) and up to 256GB of internal storage, expandable further to 1TB via a microSD card.
In terms of camera capabilities, the device is equipped with a high-resolution 50MP primary sensor and an 8MP selfie camera. Additionally, the ring-shaped LED flash supports dynamic lighting effects for notifications, music playback, and alerts.
The Vivo Y29 5G features advanced connectivity options, including 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack. In additon, it includes a reliable side-mounted fingerprint sensor to ensure security.

The Vivo Y29 5G is priced at INR 13,999 for the 4GB + 128GB storage variant, while the 6GB + 128GB variant is available at INR 15,499. The 8GB RAM models with 128GB and 256GB storage are priced at INR 16,999 and INR 18,999, respectively. Customers can avail of cashback offers of up to ₹1,500 through select banks, alongside EMI options starting at INR 1,399.
The Vivo Y29 5G is offered in three tantalising hues including Diamond Black, Glacier Blue, and Titanium Gold. The device is available for purchase via Vivo's official website and select retail outlets across India.
