Walmart has developed a new streaming device under its private label, known as the Onn 4K Plus Google TV Streamer, launched earlier this year. Designed to compete with Google’s own streaming device, it aims to offer users an improved, seamless experience.

The Onn 4K Plus is equipped with an Amlogic S905X5M processor, reportedly outperforming the Google TV Streamer’s processor by 200 points in benchmark tests, suggesting greater raw power than both the Google device and the previous Onn Pro model.

This device also features impressive RAM and an upgraded operating system. It includes 2GB of RAM (half the RAM of Google’s streamer) and supports Android 14—two generations newer than the Onn Pro, which operates on Android 12.

The official launch date and pricing information have not yet been released. However, as an upgrade to the Onn Pro, currently priced at $49.88, it’s likely to be positioned at a higher price point.

The device has also appeared on Geekbench and the unofficial AndroidTV-Guide database, where its performance and specifications were compared against those of the Google TV Streamer and Walmart’s Onn Pro.
