Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has achieved remarkable success, with over two million copies sold within its first month of release and a player base already exceeding five million. A November community update revealed details about the game's upcoming patch 5, alongside announcements about new content.
New updates and hidden features
As reported by Newsweek, Saber Interactive confirmed the arrival of patch 5 and hinted at exciting additions. These include a hidden secret level in Space Marine 2 that will continue the story of Lieutenant Titus. Additionally, a new Warhammer 40,000 series episode is in development for Prime Video.
Patch 5 highlights
The Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 season pass roadmap outlines the features coming with patch 5, including:
- New in-game cosmetics
- New operations
- Added enemies
- Technical upgrades to enhance gameplay
Patch 5 will also provide upgrades for the PS5 Pro, while PC players will benefit from frame generation and DLSS features for smoother performance.
New season content
The first half of December will mark the rollout of fresh content, including:
- Dark Angels Chapter Pack: Featuring unique customisation options such as armour sets and banners for the Bulwark Class, as well as Dark Angels’ Champion gear.
- Operation: Obelisk: A mission set on Demerium, running parallel to the final campaign mission.
- Tzaangor Enlightened Enemy: A powerful new foe appearing in every PvE operation featuring Chaos forces.
- Customisation Options: Players will have access to 15 new colour lens options for enhanced personalisation.
The Dark Angels Chapter Pack will introduce exclusive weapons with Chapter-specific skins, including the Auto Bolt Rifle, Plasma Pistol, and Power Sword. It will also feature a unique Dark Angel Storm shield for the Bulwark Class.

- Quality mode: Dynamic 4K resolution at 30fps
- Performance mode: 4K resolution at 60fps
