Samsung is now rolling out the Wear OS 5 update with One UI 6 Watch to older Galaxy smartwatches. This update brings a host of new features and upgrades to devices like the Galaxy Watch 5, Watch 5 Pro, Watch FE, and possibly the Watch 4 series.
Owners of the Galaxy Watch FE, a rebranded Galaxy Watch 4, have already received the update. This suggests the Galaxy Watch 4 series is not far behind.
What’s new in Wear OS 5 with One UI 6 watch?
Wear OS 5 introduces a redesigned Quick Panel, improved notification cards, and better health tracking with Samsung Health. The update adds an Energy Score feature, a touch-sensitive Always On Display, and convenient gestures like a double pinch to perform hands-free actions.
These features, combined with a refreshed interface, breathe new life into older Galaxy watches.
Where is Wear OS 5 with One UI 6 Watch update rolling out?
The update has started rolling out in Europe, Asia, and South America, with North America expected to follow soon. Users report the download size is approximately 1.8GB, so using Wi-Fi is recommended.
