This year, Google is expected to launch another generation of its Pixel A-series, the Pixel 8a. It's been weeks since leaks about the upcoming smartphone hit the internet. Recent rumours started when the live images were posted revealing more vibrant colour options of the smartphone.

A hands-on video showcasing the live images of Pixel 8a was shared by an X user, revealing Mint and Bay colours similar to the Pixel 7a successor that was launched. The shared images appear to have been taken in a retail store as X-Post reportedly claims that the smartphone is being sold in some religious markets in Morocco.

Leaks suggest that the design of the Pixel 8a is a bit of a mix of the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro and will likely have a matte finish with a brushed camera visor and be Tensor G3 chipset.

The upcoming smartphone features a 6.1-inch FHD = 90 Hz OLED touchscreen, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a 13MP ultrawide, a 64MP main camera, and a 4,500mAh battery with support for 27W wired charging. This means that the phone could launch a dual rear camera setup.

Going by the company's launch schedule from previous years, we can expect the Pixel 8a to be launched in the coming weeks, possibly at Google I/O 2024, which is scheduled to begin on May 14.
