What's in store for Apple's iPad Air 2024 launch event?

The iPad Air 2024 is ready to launch next month alongside the iPad Pro. On Tuesday, Apple dropped an invite for its virtual launch event. It's been a year since Apple launched its last iPads, on May 7 the company is launching an online event called "Let Loose", where we'll likely see new iPad models along with the Apple Pencil.

Details regarding the event are yet to be officially announced, but the rumoured iPad Air 2024 is expected to come with an OLED screen for the first time and an M2 chip upgrade. The event poster features a drawing of a hand holding an Apple Pencil, hinting that the iPad will be the main focus of the event.

As reported by Gadgets360, rumours for the upcoming iPad Air 2024 point to the upgraded display size of 10.9-inch and 12.9-inch and the changed front-facing camera that now will lie on the horizontal side of the display. The company could be launching the Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard with a new squeeze gesture feature along with the new iPad.

Additionally, the iPad Pro 2024 models are expected to be thinner with M3 chip MagSafe wireless charging and an aluminium top casing. The product launch for these upcoming products is expected to begin a month before its software-focused Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 10.
