WhatsApp, a leading messaging platform, is rumoured to be developing an innovative AI image generator, dubbed "Imagine Me," which could revolutionise self-expression and creativity within the messaging platform.

The latest feature, "Imagine Me" is integrated with AI technology that allows users to generate personalised images and stickers that accurately resemble their appearance. By uploading reference selfies to Meta AI for analysis, users can unlock a new level of creativity and self-expression.

How it works

The feature, "Imagine Me", was spotted under development for Android version 2.24.14.7, utilising Meta AI to analyse uploaded selfies and generate new images.

These created images through AI can be sent as stickers inside WhatsApp chats, offering a unique way of self-expression. The feature is not yet available but will be rolled out in the near future.

More updates

Additionally, several rumours have surfaced that WhatsApp is testing out variants of different language model sizes, including Meta's Llama 3-405B, which represents a more extensive and more powerful model as opposed to what the Llama 3-70B has reached in deployment status to date.

That could imply there might be a weekly limit for this version of the Llama 3-405B similar to how competitors like ChatGPT and Claude keep their systems in check.
