WhatsApp released a new stable update for iOS, version 24.16.75, available on the App Store.
Although the official changelog doesn't mention new features, according to wabetainfo, it has been found that WhatsApp would be rolling out a new feature to prompt group descriptions for communities.
This feature would be ensuring that new community group chats have clear and informative descriptions, making it easier for new members to understand the group's purpose.

Previously, this option was only available for regular group chats during setup, but now it would be extended to the community group chats.
The feature has been in the process of widely rolling out, so it may take some weeks to reach every account. To access the feature, make sure that you keep updating your WhatsApp regularly from the App Store and TestFlight app.
However, by prompting group descriptions for communities, WhatsApp intends to ensure the improvement of communication in groups, thereby ensuring all new members know about the purpose and guidelines of the group right at the very start.
