Since AI bots have been incorporated into a wide range of software applications and platforms, WhatsApp has ventured to test one of its own chatbots, making it more easily accessible.

Following Meta’s disclosure, a few months ago, about its plans to enhance some of its subsidiary products, some users have had the privilege to experiment with WhatsApp’s AI chatbot.

According to WABetaInfo Recently, a shortcut to the AI chat function has been integrated into the chat screen of the beta version of WhatsApp for Android.

The bot is capable of answering queries, generating text, and even artistic stickers.

Users having the early beta version of WhatsApp could soon encounter this feature.

The feature will enable users to evaluate how WhatsApp's AI bot stacks up against other platforms like ChatGPT and Google Bard in terms of the accuracy of the information being delivered.

The WhatsApp AI chatbot is developed to help with daily activities by providing advice, suggestions and recommendations such as how someone can entertain kids on weekends or guidance on what to consider when upgrading a smartphone.

While WhatsApp is not the first messaging app to step into the sphere of AI, the integration of AI into apps aims to engage users within the platform rather than seeking AI-driven responses elsewhere.

Considering the capabilities of generative AI, users can ask a wide range of questions to the bot that range from relationship advice to inquiries about complex technical subjects.

With this feature rolling out, WhatsApp now ranks among the frequently updated apps with new features such as AI-generated chat stickers, and features to combat spam.
