WhatsApp is launching several innovative features that allow users to operate more than one account simultaneously. Now the Meta-owned WhatsApp is all set to introduce a great update via the Google Play Beta Program for Android 2.24.18.14, which would adequately modify the procedure to simply manage their WhatsApp accounts, ensuring privacy.

The update would allow users to link another WhatsApp account inside the app’s settings without depending on any third-party app.

What’s new in latest WhatsApp update?

WhatsApp is currently exploring the latest section that lets users easily adjust their address book, which is yet to be rolled out soon. The forthcoming feature would let users manipulate contacts that are synced for all your accounts separately.

Moreover, it would be helpful, especially for those users, who want to keep distinct contact lists over different accounts such as to separately keep your professional and personal contacts.

Pros

It's an amazing feature that consists of the following pros:

  • This would allow users to decide whether they want to disable the contact syncing for their account or not through a sync option which is available for every contact.
  • Moreover, users would be allowed to unsync the synced contacts if they don’t want to keep them across the linked devices.
  • It would be noteworthy to mention that the synced contacts to their accounts would be backed up by the contact backup option, ensuring the restoration if users want to use a new device to connect their accounts.
  • Coming to privacy, WhatsApp prioritises user security over anything else, so a privacy feature for the upcoming update is not yet fully developed which will be rolled out soon after development.
