WhatsApp is reportedly testing a new feature for its Android users that allows them to mark all chats as read at once with a new shortcut.
A similar feature has been available in the iOS version of WhatsApp for a while now which makes the process of marking all unread WhatsApp chats easier.
This feature was spotted in the Android beta 2.24.18.11 version introducing the “mark all chats as read” option for better management of chats.

With the feature, Android users can mark all unread conversations as read, resulting in a clutter-free chat on the phone.
The new "mark all chat as read" option is available in the overflow menu of the "chats" list. It can be accessed in the top-right corner below the “starred messages “option. By simply tapping it, all unread chats will be cleared in one go.
While the option to mark all chats read is already available on WhatsApp for Android, it requires several steps, including selecting all messages and then tapping the mark as read option. The new feature will allow quicker access to it.
Currently, the feature is in the testing phase and the company will start rolling it out for all Android users shortly.
