Meta-owned instant messaging app, WhatsApp, is introducing live image production as part of its artificial intelligence (AI) assistant feature.

In addition, WhatsApp announced the release of their new AI model, Llama 3, on Thursday (April 18).

The users can now engage with WhatsApp’s AI like any other chat. While conversing with the assistant, users can communicate as if they were speaking with a human.

Meta claimed that its AI picture production is "sharper and higher quality" and is more capable of interpreting language.

Meta shared an example, "Imagine a soccer game on Mars." The image will vary with each few letters input as users describe their "Imagine prompt, so users can watch as Meta AI brings their vision to life."

Moreover, users can instruct the Meta AI assistant to animate the image, converting it into a GIF. The Meta AI image generator is also available as a web app, although it is only being published in the United States.
