WhatsApp is testing two new features to improve user experience. The first feature is a simplified reaction to status updates, which would appear in the viewers' list instead of the primary inbox.
The second feature is an auto-block option for unknown senders who exceed a certain message limit. These features aim to reduce unnecessary interruptions and help users maintain their inboxes more easily.
New WhatsApp features:
Simplified like reaction
A new-like reaction is being rolled out by WhatsApp for status updates. According to WABetaInfo, for now, it's accessible to a few Android users running version 2.24.17.21 beta.

If enabled, likes from the users would be displayed in the viewer's list and not sent to the primary inbox as a heart emoji. There is also an opt-out in case these reaction notifications are unwanted by users.
Auto-block for spammers
Another feature would be auto-block for unknown senders who have gone beyond the message limit. This functionality has not yet been opened up for public beta testing, as it is still in development.
If it finally rolls out, this feature would help users block spammers and reduce disruptive messages that are not important to the inbox.
These new features in WhatsApp would aim to enhance users' experience. Like reactions, an auto-block option for not being troubled with trash messages would make it more convenient concerning inbox-keeping.
