WhatsApp is rolling out a new Beta version 2.24.24.16 update, which is available through its Google Play Beta Programme. The previous version of WhatsApp offered a replacement for a gallery shortcut through which users could not only share their pictures or videos but also share attachments rather than going to the attachment menu.

The latest WhatsApp update has made media sharing easier by bringing out a new shortcut interface for accessing the gallery. WhatsApp has restored the camera shortcut option along with the gallery button. Now the users are provided with two options:

  • Camera option for quick picture capture.

Previous updates of WhatsApp removed the quick capture shortcut, which raised concerns among users as it added extra layers of steps just to capture a picture.

The latest beta update has tackled the issue that users were facing through its predecessor versions, hence providing them with a more seamless and hassle-free experience.
