X, formerly Twitter, was finally restored late Tuesday night after almost more than 72 hours. Tens of thousands of users across Pakistan were unable to access the popular social media platform or use its key features for several hours before services appeared to come back online tonight.

It should be noted that Pakistan has been facing frequent internet and social media site outages recently, especially for a couple of months during the ongoing situation in the wake of the general election of 2024.

The netizens have complained about their inability to connect to X since Saturday night. Moreover, the country witnessed disruptions on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, streaming giant YouTube, Google services as well as internet service provider PTCL last month.
