Elon Musk is reportedly closing the San Francisco headquarters of X (formerly Twitter), a microblogging platform he acquired around two years ago.
Elon Musk X San Francisco closure
The halt in X's operations in the city brings an end to the platform's around two-decade-long presence since its inception.
The move is likely to have accrued from the tech tycoon's bigger migration plan, as the employees of the San Francisco are set to be relocated to X's offices in San Jose and Palo Alto.
Announcing the cessation of workflows, X CEO Linda Yaccarino also outlined the key location of the office where it moved in 2022.
Another probable factor at play behind this shift is Musk's discontent with the city's cultural and political dynamics, which also appear to have prompted it to bring its dissatisfaction to light.
It's noteworthy that the termination of X's San Francisco office was long expected considering the crystal clear hints Musk gave about moving its office to Texas.
Moreover, X last month put its 460,000 square feet of the San Francisco office for sale, which reinforced the possibility of its operation's migration.
