Xiaomi, a Chinese tech company, on Thursday unveiled its latest flagship model, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, in the Japanese market.
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra photography kit, an extra accessory bundle for Xiaomi's flagship, is what truly transforms this phone into a camera. It's a follow-up to the photographic package launched with the 13 Ultra last year. Some special features include:
- Approximately 12mm ultra wide-angle lens.
- Approximately 23mm wide-angle lens.
- Approximately 75mm floating telephoto lens.
- Approximately 120mm periscope lens.
The four lenses cover a wide range of shooting techniques and generate photographs that appear to have been captured with a professional camera. Moreover, the Street Snap feature has a UI that looks like a range finder, and the quick shooting speed of roughly 0.7 seconds guarantees that you never miss a shutter opportunity.

The Master Portrait feature, built utilising current technology, adapts to a range of light situations and photographs portraits with the texture and colours visible to the human eye. If a user can capture still photographs with a good lens, the video is ideal. It supports 8K and 4K 120fps video, along with Dolby Vision HDR.
These features are included with the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, however, the user may upgrade to a full-fledged camera with the optional photography kit.
In addition, a two-stage shutter release and a zoom lever allow for quick change between lens lengths. A bespoke dial for controlling exposure and aperture is also available. A 1,500mAh battery is included within the grip to help in shooting.
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra's major selling point is its superior camera capability, however, the device's other characteristics are equally impressive. The display has a WQHD+ resolution (3,200 x 1,440) and 120Hz LTPO technology.
It also lowers blue light by 50%, provides up to 3,000 nits of brightness, and has multi-level brightness control to decrease eye strain.

The integrated Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform chipset boosts CPU and GPU performance by 32% and 34%, respectively, against the previous iteration. Power consumption has also been greatly improved.
In addition, the user will profit from it in a range of circumstances, including making calls and messages in everyday life, playing games, and viewing movies as a pastime.
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which has many additional advanced capabilities, will be available from May 16 for JPY 199,900 (INR 107,242) with tax included. It will be on display at Amazon.co.jp, Rakuten Ichiba, and select Bic Camera and Yodobashi Camera locations.
