Xiaomi unveils HyperOS 2 in China: Global rollout expected in Q4 2024

Xiaomi unveiled the HyperOS 2 in China, rolling out the latest software advancements with the global schedule upcoming update. 

The updated interface features enhanced performance, a user friendly experience, and improved optimisations to devices. Recently, a leak has emerged hinting towards the launch of HyperOS 2 Global to several phones in Q4 2024, which is expected to be followed by other devices in the beginning of 2025.

Eligible devices for HyperOS 2 

According to a recent listing by XiaomiTime, following smartphones are expected to receive the upcoming HyperOS 2 update:

  • Xiaomi 14 series
  • Xiaomi 14T lineup 
  • Xiaomi 13T and 13 series
  • Poco F6 series
  • Poco X6 Pro 5G

Initially, Xiaomi’s Hyper OS 2 will be introduced to the Redmi series, with devices including Redmi Note 13 and a wider range Redmi 12 and 13.

HyperOS 2 will streamline your user experience by top notch artificial intelligence (AI)-centric features, and more across several device categories. The Chinese launch of HyperOS 2 includes multiple system optimisations so users are expecting the similar features from the Xiaomi’s Hyper OS 2 global variant too.

However, the Chinese tech manufacturer is yet to confirm whether it plans to host a global launch event for the roll out of the significant HyperOS 2 update or it will be quietly launched.
