YouTube has finally announced the rollout of QR codes to all channels which it has been testing over the past couple of months. This upgrade allows users to share their profiles in new, creative ways.
The feature will be available to selected users aiming to offer an additional method for creators to share their content to audiences easily.
Users can now save the QR codes to the camera roll that will be exported at 2400×2400 pixels which they can download and embed it in social banners, print or show a friend in person.

The introduction of QR codes will enhance channel promotion and attract new followers. These codes can be scanned with the stock camera app on most smartphones.
Currently, Instagram is also testing a similar feature with profile cards, suggesting a renewed interest in QR codes.
Where to the find QR code of your channel
- Open the YouTube app and tap “You” in the bottom right corner.
- Swipe along the buttons below your profile picture to find the Share channel
- Now, tap “QR code”
- Then tap “Save to camera roll” to use it anywhere.

- Open the YouTube app and browse to any channel.
- Tap the “three dots” in the top right corner.
- Now, tap “Share”
- Then, tap “QR code”
