YouTube has just made it easier to share a moment from videos with its mobile app. With the latest update, users can share a certain part of a video with just a few taps through the timestamp toggle in the share sheet.

Previously, sharing timestamps on YouTube mobile was a bit of a hassle. You had to use the "Clip" feature, which limited the length of the shared video to 60 seconds and created a looping YT Short.

Now, when you hit share on YouTube, you would be able to view this toggle at the top right of the share sheet. Click it to enable sharing at a current part or time of a video.

Here’s how it works

All you need to do is click the share button, enable the timestamp feature, and then you can set the time by scrubbing through the video timeline.

That's it, you need to click "Copy link", and you will get a text link to share anywhere. It can also be modified to get a different time within a video.

This update makes timestamp sharing much easier than before, when you want to add "&t=" with the time in "XmXXs" format. Now you can easily share your favourite moments in videos with your friends and followers.
