It’s been a while since Google introduced the generative AI feature Gemini to its apps constantly pushing the boundaries of innovation & to enhance the user experience.

Recently, YouTube has been looking forward to bringing Google Gemini on its platform and therefore, the video streaming app is testing a new brainstorming feature to help creators generate new video ideas.

The Google-owned company announced the launch of the new "Brainstorm with Gemini" feature in a video posted on its Creator Insider channel.

Previously, YouTube launched an AI feature back in May similar to this latest feature that suggests topics to creators so they could interest their audience and generate an outline of talking points to speed up the creation process.

This new brainstorming tool could give YouTube an upper hand over other social media video platforms often used by creators, offering them something that’s not available on competing platforms.

The feature also offers prompts, concepts, trend notes, and thumbnail suggestions based on the Google Search activity of creators.

In this way, YouTube has created a choice for creators whether they like to prefer the inspiration tool, the Gemini integration, or both when searching for content ideas.

When creators open up YouTube Studio and type a video idea into the search bar, they will be presented with these two options.

Moreover, another reason why Google is incorporating its AI tool into its video platform is to encourage creators to use its AI tools rather than other popular platforms like OpenAI-owned ChatGPT.

Other platforms such as Instagram, and TikTok are also focusing on using generative AI to give content creators the ability to gain digital versions of them.

Currently, the feature is available to selected creators only, however, YouTube is likely to consider their feedback before deciding to roll out the feature publicly.
