Google Pixel 3a Summary
Google Pixel 3a was released in May, 2019. The phone is a light affair, only weighing 147g. The body is made of a glass front (Asahi Dragontrail) and plastic back and frame. The phone is water and dust resistant as proven by the IP68 rating. The Pixel 3a comes with an OLED display panel that can produce 1080 x 2220 (FHD+) pixels of resolution on a 5.6 inches always-on screen.
The Android version running on the phone is Android 9, which can be upgraded to Android 12. Powering this system is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 670 chipset, which comes with an octa-core CPU, having a max clock frequency of 2GHz, and is paired with Adreno 615 GPU. There is only one RAM and storage option: 4GB, 64GB respectively. No storage expansion support is available.
The Pixel 3a sports a single camera lens at the rear, a 12.2MP dual-pixel PDAF and OIS enabled lens. The camera is supported by dual-LED flash, pixel shift, and auto-HDR features. Furthermore, videos can be recorded at 4K, 30fps and 1080p, 30-120fps. The front camera also comprises of a single lens, having an 8MP count. Auto-HDR and 1080p, 30fps video recording are also available.
The phone comes with a meagre battery, having 3,000mAh capacity. As compensation, the battery supports 18W rapid charging via USB Type-C cable, and wireless charging as well. Additional features offered with the phone are fingerprint (rear-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and barometer.
Google Pixel 3a comes in Just Black, Clearly White, and Purple-ish colours.
