Google Pixel 4 Summary
Google Pixel 4 is the fourth big installment in the Pixel series, which was released on October 22, 2019. The phone comes in glass front and back (Gorilla Glass 5) and aluminium frame. The phone is dust and water resistant as proven by IP68 rating. The screen installed on the device is P-OLED technology, with 90Hz refresh rate, and HDR capability. The 5.7 inches, always-on screen can output 1080 x 2280 pixels of resolution.
The OS running on the system is Android 10, which is upgradeable to Android 13, and powering this system is Snapdragon 855, which is an octa-core processor with a max frequency of 2.84GHz. Paired with this CPU is Adreno 640 GPU. Supporting this setup are two variants of RAM and storage: 6GB, 64GB and 6GB, 128GB, respectively — no support for storage expansion.
The Pixel 4 sports dual lens setup for its back camera, one is a 12.2MP lens, with OIS and dual-pixel PDAF features, and the other is a 16MP telephoto lens (OIS, PDAF, and 2x optical zoom). Complementing this setup are dual-LED flash, pixel shift, and auto-HDR features. Furthermore, videos can be shot at 4K, 30fps, 1080p 30-120fps, and 1080p, 30fps with gyro-EIS enabled. The front camera, on the other hand, contains a single 8MP lens, having auto-HDR and 1080p, 30fps video recording features.
The phone comes with a Li-Po 2,800mAh battery that supports 18W rapid charging via USB Type-C cable, and wireless charging as well. Additional features that come with the battery include: face ID, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and barometer.
Google Pixel 4 weighs 162g and comes in Clearly White, Just Black, and Oh So Orange colours.
