Google Pixel Summary

The Google Pixel was the first in the Pixel series of flagship phones, and it was released on October 20, 2016. The production of this phone has since been discontinued. The phone comes in glass front (Gorilla Glass 4) and aluminium back and frame and is covered with a water repellent coating. The Pixel phone does not support dual SIM setup. The display panel installed on the device is AMOLED technology, having a screen size of 5 inches and 1080 x 1920 (FHD) resolution.

The phone runs Android 7.1 as its OS, which is upgradeable to Android 10. Running under the hood is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 chipset that comes with a quad-core processor, having a max clock frequency of 2.15GHz, and is paired with Adreno 530 GPU. Two RAM and storage combos are available: 4GB, 32GB and 4GB, 128GB, respectively.

The Pixel phone features a single camera at the back, which is a 12.3MP PDAF and Laser AF enabled lens. Complementing this camera are dual-LED flash and HDR capabilities. Additionally, videos can be shot at 4K, 30fps, 1080p, 60/120fps, 1080p, 30fps with gyro-EIS enabled, and 720p, 240fps. The front camera also has a single 8MP lens that can record 1080p, 30fps videos.

The device draws power from a Li-Ion 2770mAh battery, which supports 18W rapid charging via USB Type-C cable. Additional features include: fingerprint scanner (rear-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and barometer.

The phone comes in Quite Black, Very Silver, and Really Blue colours.
