OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren Summary
Arguably the fastest phone of the OnePlus 7 series is the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren, which was released in November, 2019. The phone is build with glass front and back (Gorilla Glass 6 and 5, respectively) and aluminium frame. The display panel technology is fluid AMOLED, which can output 1440 x 3120 pixels of resolution on a 6.6 inches screen, with 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support as well.
The OS running onboard is OnePlus’s Oxygen OS 10 which is based on Android 10. Under the hood, Snapdragon 855+ runs the device with it octa-core processor that claims a max clock frequency of 2.96GHz; this CPU is paired with Adreno 640 GPU. The McLaren edition comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Unfortunately, there is no support for storage expansion.
The triple camera setup at the back hosts a 48MP lens (OIS, Laser AF, and PDAF enabled), an 8MP telephoto lens (3x optical zoom), and a 16MP ultrawide lens. Dual-LED flash and HDR capabilities complement the back cameras. Videos from this camera can be shot at 4K, 30/60fps, 1080p, 30-240fps, and 720p, 960fps with auto-HDR and gyro-EIS enabled. On the front, a 16MP motorized lens pops up, which is supported by auto-HDR and 1080p, 30fps (gyro-EIS) video recording.
The phone sports a 4,085mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging via USB Type-C cable. Additional features include: fingerprint scanner (under display, optical), accelerometer, gyro, virtual proximity sensing, and compass.
