Samsung Galaxy A15 Summary
Samsung Galaxy A15, released on December 16, 2023, is the latest phone in the budget series of Samsung phones. It comes in a plastic back and frame, and glass front. The device sports a super AMOLED display, which supports 90Hz refresh rate and 800nits of peak brightness. And the 6.5 inches screen can output 1080 x 2340 pixels of FHD+ resolution .
The Galaxy A15 runs One UI 6, which is Samsung’s custom made UI layer based on Android 14. To run this software, Mediatek Helio G99 chipset is installed, which is an octa-core processor claiming max clock frequency of 2.2GHz. Along with this CPU, Mali-G57 GPU is paired.
RAM and storage options are aplenty that include 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM paired with either 128GB or 256GB internal storage. A shared micro SD slot is also available for storage expansion.
On the back, three cameras are mounted, a 50MP main lens, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. Videos can be shot at 1080p, 30fps. LED-flash and HDR are offered as complementary features. The front camera houses a single lens of 13MP count, which can shoot 1080p 30fps videos.
The battery installed in A15 is a market standard 5,000mAh affair, and it supports 25W rapid fast charging. Additional features on offer are: fingerprint scanner (side-mounted), accelerometer, and compass.
Samsung Galaxy A15 weighs around 200g and comes in Brave Black, Optimistic Blue, Magical Blue, and Personality Yellow colours.
