Imagine being able to multitask in a virtual reality (VR) like never before. Meta's latest update, version 67 of Horizon OS, is making this a reality for you with an experimental feature that will allow the Quest owners to have up to six virtual windows open at the same time.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced to rollout the version 67, which includes a new "hinged" layout that would let you dock three windows while freely placing and resizing up to three more.

This feature offers the users an enhanced mixed reality mode experience similar to the Apple’s Vision Pro. The users can easily get access to the latest version on the Quest Pro, Quest 2, and Quest 3.

However, the features of additional windows will allow the users to now browse, watch videos, and access other 2D apps and windows within Horizon OS simultaneously. Moreover, "Theatre View" button allows you to isolate and enlarge any window while dimming others.

Other features

This update also introduces several innovative features including swipe typing, QR code scanning, improved eye tracking performance, and customisable Do Not Disturb mode durations to enhance user’s experience of using the gadget.

Along with other updates including new Horizon Feed section highlights content from select creators, allows users to discover new apps and games in a more sociable way. Through this upgrade the users will be able to like and share posts with their friends that will make it easier for them to connect with others in the VR community.
