The Asus ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro are now available for purchase in India through offline retail outlets. 

Launched at CES 2024, both gaming smartphones are powered by Qualcomm's latest flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, feature 5,000mAh batteries, and have an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Both the models of the ROG Phone 8 lineup exclusively feature a the AeroActive Cooler X, a snap-on cooling fan to keep the hardware of the devices cool when it gets heated up after longer one-sitting gaming sessions.

Asus ROG Phone 8 series specifications

In terms of specifications, the Asus ROG Phone 8 series runs on Android 14 with the company's ROG UI. Both models feature a 6.78-inch full-HD+ Samsung AMOLED LTPO display with a 165Hz refresh rate, 2,500 nits of peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. 

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, the phones come with up to 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM. The camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP telephoto camera. They also sport a 12MP front camera.

Storage options go up to 1TB, and both phones support 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and NFC. They feature a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB Type-C port, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The 5,000mAh batteries on both models can be charged at 65W, with Qi 1.3 wireless charging support. 

The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro comes with the AeroActive Cooler X cooling fan and has dimensions of 163.8x76.8x8.9mm, weighing 225g. Both phones have an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

According to Gadgets360, the Asus ROG Phone 8 is priced at INR 94,999, while the ROG Phone 8 Pro, which comes with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of inbuilt storage, is priced at INR 1,19,999. Both models are available in Phantom Black. The smartphones can be purchased in India via Vijay Sales, Asus' retail partner for the handsets.
