As the tech world eagerly awaits the unveiling of anticipated updates at Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2024, the potential enhancements to the Calculator app underscore Apple's commitment to refining the user experience across its diverse range of devices.

Apple appears ready to introduce a dedicated calculator app for the iPad, a full 14 years after the tablet's initial release. According to a report by Gadgets360 a built-in calculator app in the upcoming iPadOS 18 update extends support to all iPad models eligible for the new OS iteration.

MacOS users could also witness a significant overhaul of the Calculator app. Dubbed "GreyParrot," the revamped version is said to feature a sleek design akin to its iOS counterpart, complete with rounded buttons. Users might also enjoy the flexibility of resizing the app window, with adjustments resulting in dynamic changes to button shapes. Moreover, the app could also introduce a history tape feature to enhance the user experience, providing a record of past calculations within the app.

iOS 18 hints at a new calculator-related feature dubbed "Math Notes." While details remain scarce, integration with the Notes app enables users to export calculation data to a separate note for future reference or additional annotation.

Among the rumoured upgrades is that the app might finally make its debut on the iPad, marking a significant development for Apple's ecosystem. With the WWDC on June 10, expectations are high for what Apple might unveil, including previews of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS 15.
