A recent report suggests that Microsoft may unveil the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 later this month, introducing its first artificial intelligence (AI)-powered PCs.

These devices are expected to integrate AI features set to debut on Windows 11 later this year. Sources indicate that Microsoft's new PCs will be equipped with Intel's latest 14th-generation processors and Qualcomm's X series chipsets, alongside next-gen neural processing units (NPUs).

According to Windows Central, citing unnamed sources, both the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 could launch on March 21. These AI-enabled PCs are rumoured to offer options with new Intel Core Ultra and Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite-based chips. If accurate, this marks the first instance of Microsoft offering its Surface Laptop with both Intel and Arm processor choices.

While details on the upcoming laptops are scarce, the report outlines some key specifications. The Surface Pro 10 is anticipated to feature an anti-reflective OLED panel with HDR support and a brighter display. It may also include an upgraded webcam with an ultrawide sensor, enhanced with AI Studio Effects slated for later release, and an integrated NFC reader. The overall design is expected to remain similar to its predecessor.

On the other hand, the Surface Laptop 6 may receive design enhancements such as thinner bezels with rounded corners for the display and a new haptic touchpad. Additionally, it could incorporate a dedicated Copilot key announced by Microsoft last year. The laptop may also introduce a new set of ports, including two USB Type-C ports and one USB Type-A port on the left side, with the magnetic Surface Connect charger likely placed on the right.

Both devices are speculated to offer improved battery life and performance. The report suggests that the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 may hit the market in two separate waves, with models powered by Intel chips expected to launch in April, followed by Arm-based models in June.
