Google is deeply indulged in the development of Android 15, the next upcoming Android update, and so are the Android enthusiasts having a geek for Android's latest features and functionalities.

But the sad part of the story is that only select Android phone makers have secured the latest iteration.

Although the latest operating system has long been in the rumour mill with some proficient leakers digging out the key features of the software update, a recent report has caused mayhem in the relevant sphere, suggesting that the Android 15 Beta 2 has been released for two Android smartphones of a prominent brand OnePlus.

Devices compatible with Android 15

Since the queue of compatible smartphones for the upcoming Android update is too long, the OnePlus models that are said to have embraced the second beta of Android 15 are the following:

  • OnePlus 12
  • OnePlus Open

The smartphone company itself made the announcement, reportedly stating that the models — mentioned above — are OnePlus 12 and OnePlus Open.

Touting the beta form of Android 15, OnePlus said this is "best suited for developers and other advanced users," adding that it doesn't recommend using it if "you have little to no experience in software development if you expect to use the device as a daily driver."

Android 15 release date

Android 15 is expected to be released between August and October 2024. Expected to be supported on mid-range and premium phones that were launched less than two years ago, the update will be available for free, as with previous Android versions.
