Samsung's One UI Watch 6, previously available exclusively for the Galaxy Watch 6, has now been made available for the Watch 4 and Watch 5 series.
The upgrade introduces several changes to health and fitness tracking. Notably, Galaxy AI has been integrated with sleep insights to provide users with a more holistic view of their sleep patterns.
A pinch gesture has also been introduced, allowing users to select items more easily, even beyond the sometimes restrictive Accessibility mode.
Samsung Galaxy One UI Watch 6 beta availability
While One UI Watch 6 is now available for the Watch 4 and Watch 5 series, a few “special edition” models have been excluded. These models are those that support LTE. It is unclear why the upgrade has been made exclusive to Bluetooth variants, but that is the current situation.
How to install Galaxy One UI Watch 6 beta
Users can find the installation prompt in the Samsung Members app. A card promoting the upgrade will appear at the top. Users need only tap on the card to initiate the upgrade, which will then be pushed to the wearable app and the watch itself.
This update precedes the imminent release of the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch 7 Ultra, which are set to be launched at this year’s Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris. Both variants will run on One UI Watch 6 based on WearOS right out of the box.
